$3 million lottery winner gets 21 years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine
A46-year-old Georgia man, Ronnie Music Jr. of Waycross who on February 2015 won $3 million US dollars in a scratch-off lottery game was sentenced Monday 10th April to serve 21 years in federal prison. Music arrested, convicted and hasbeen sentenced to prison for reportedly using the $3 million won from the lottery game to deal drugs.
Prosecutors say he pleaded guilty in July to being a felon in possession of firearms and conspiring to traffic large quantity of methamphetamine.
Prosecutors say he used the money he won to buy crystal methamphetamine that he sells secretly.
He was arrested in Tennessee U.S. South, in late 2015 after selling methamphetamine to a trust worthy informant. Prosecutors say they have indicted and arrested more 21 other members of the drug trafficking ring and, including Music, the other 20 have been convicted aswell.
