Four persons killed as Police and Army clash in Yobe




Four persons recently have been reported dead on Wednesday, April 12th in a clash between some Army troop and Police officers in Damaturu, Yobe state . According to reports, the clash between the both forces started following the abduction of the Mopol commandant in charge 41, in Damaturu, by some Army officials. The commandant in question was said to have been moving in a convoy on Tuesday when a man obstruct his convoy there by  prevent him from continuing to their destination. The police officers attached to him harassed the man, not knowing that he is an Army officer. 


Then on wednesday morning, some Army troops kidnapped the commandant, which resulted in a shoot-out between both forces.
Business activities in the area was suspended for some hours following the clash between the armed forces

Some security officials who were injured during the clash are being treated at the State Specialist hospital.

Calm however returned to the area after much damage between the two security agents.
