Serena Williams responds to Ilie Nastase's racist comment about the skin colour of her unborn child

Yesterday the International Tennis Federation (ITF) confirmed that investigation into Romania's Fed Cup captain, Seventy years old Ilie Nastase, has been launched after the former United State and French Open singles champion made a derogatory comment about Serena Williams' unborn child, as well as other inappropriate comments.

On Friday 21st April at a press conference, Nastase speculated about the skin colour of Serena Williams' unborn baby, saying; “Let’s see what color it has. Chocolate with milk?” 

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) said In a statement,: "The ITF does not tolerate offensive language, discriminatory and behavior of any kind. We are aware of alleged comments made by Romanian captain Ilie Nastase and have begun an immediate investigation so that we have the full facts of the situation before taking further and appropriate action."
