Photos: The Senator of Australia becomes the first politician to Breastfeed a baby in the Parliament




Larissa Waters the senator of Australia has made history after she became the first politician sported breastfeeding a baby in the senate chamber. Larissa, a co-deputy leader for the Australian Greens party on Tuesday 9th May returned to the Senate for the first time since giving birth to her baby girl, who goes by the namw Alia Joy, earlier this year.

 During a vote in the chamber, the 40 years old mother and Australian senator proudly took off her bra and cover her breast with a white towel as she breastfeds her baby girl in senate chamber.
The senator taking on her Facebook page, the excited mother wrote below:

'I am so proud that my daughter Alia is the first baby to be breastfed in the federal parliament! And we need more family-friendly and flexible workplaces, and affordable childcare, for everyone.'
