Popular Oshodi politician and a prominent member of NURTW, Rasaq Bello shot dead

There was complete confusion and disorder in Shogunle, Oshodi on Monday, 29th May, 2017. An eyewitness told 9javip.com that it began at about mid-day during the local council primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Shogunle town hall in Oshodi, lagos state turned violent ultimately leading to the death of a popular politician and a prominent member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Rasaq Bello popularly known as 'Hamburger'.

It was furthered gathered that Hamburger and his group later stormed the base of Golden in Ago Owu street.
Both camps exchanged gun shots. One of the shots hit Hamburger and was ferried away from the scene of the incident by his supporters.

Reports have it that late Rasaq Bello was shot by members of a rival gang led by Samson Agbetoye, popularly called Golden.

Following Hamburger's death, a resident of the area told 9javip.com that violent clashes erupted and a car was burnt around Ayinke Junction. We also gather that unknown touts stormed the home of the leader of the rival gang 'Golden' who has since fled and they killed his mother.

It was confirmed that the bloody incident has forced residents of Owode Street and environs to flee their homes over fears of a reprisal attack.
