Photos: Former Dutch footballer marries Malaysian Princess in a lavish traditional ceremony after converting from christian to Islam & paying N2000 for dowry



From meeting a girl in the cafe, falling in love with the girl who turns to be a real-life princess. This is the story of the former semi-professional footballer, Dennis Muhammad Abdullah, from Lisse, in the Netherlands who married Princess Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim, the only daughter of the Sultan of Johor in Malaysia.
28 years old Dennis reportedly met Princess Tunku Tun Aminah, 31 years old, at a cafe where he worked as a marketing manager for a Singapore football team.
Three years later, for the sake of love, he converted to Islam, changed his Christian name Dennis Verbaas to a Muslim name Dennis Muhammad Abdullah.
Yesterday, the Dutchman married his princess in a lavish traditional ceremony after paying N2000 (£4) dowry and wedding was projected on a giant screen in the city for public viewing.
The pair wedded according to Muslim Malay custom at the Serene Hill Palace, the royal family's residence in the southern city of Johor Bahru. 
The private wedding ceremony was attended by close family and friends.
The groom, who now works for a property development company in Johor, wore traditional white Malay wedding attire and the bride wore a white dress. 
According to reports, Princess Tunku Tun Aminah's father Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar is one of Malaysia's most powerful sultans.
